Clinical Notes: More Trouble for Grady Sizemore

Sizemore, 28, is no stranger to dealing with injuries, especially injuries that deal with his knees. The center fielder injured the knee against the Baltimore Orioles this past weekend. This is Grady's third time on the disabled list this season, and the sixth of his career. Last year, Sizemore had microfracture surgery on his left knee and missed the entire 2010 season.
He initially hurt the knee in early May after sliding into second base and missed a total of 13 games. Grady is currently in Cleveland undergoing more tests and the team will then determine how much time he's expected to miss. In 61 games this season, Sizemore is hitting .237/.304/.466 with ten home runs. Other than hitting a home run once every 23.2 at-bats this season, Sizemore's numbers have not been terrific.
Cleveland will likely have Michael Brantley
stay in left field, with rookie Ezequiel Carrera
seeing time in center field. Travis Buck
and Austin Kearns
continue to fill in for the injured Shin-Soo Choo
in right field.
For fantasy purposes, if you're a Sizemore owner willing to stash him, you're waiting to hear news on how much time he'll miss. If you've already cut Grady from your fantasy team and are looking for possible outfielders to help fill the void, give a look to players such as Nate Schierholtz, Travis Snider, or Alex Presley.
