- Paul Sporer (@sporer on Twitter) of Baseball by Paul released his annual 2011 Starting Pitching Guide. The 127 page PDF file discusses draft strategies, starting pitching targets and includes profiles on 546 Major League Baseball pitchers for the 2011 season.

- Baseball-Reference lists the seasons where a hitter had more home runs than strikeouts. Not surprisingly, there aren't a lot of recent seasons in there.
