Baseball Press is looking for a writer. Is it you?
If you follow others' baseball "blogs" and think you can write better - if you know baseball stats, players, and teams inside and out - if you're just a fan of baseball and have something you want to say, you could be writing for Baseball Press.
If you're new to Baseball Press, we haven't been around long, but we've made some noise. Check out the Rookie Season - Baseball Press article I wrote in October to read about our beginnings. Since that time, we've been referenced a third time by USA Today, our Facebook page has exceeded 100 fans, our site traffic has doubled, and this is all during the football season.
Why are we looking to change what works? It's quite simple really - over the last couple months we have reinvented the site with a new home page layout including many new features (rotating headline section, most read articles, links to other sites/articles, and poll functionality), we also revamped the archived page to make it easier to find older articles, and most recently added the new Head to Head Calculator utilizing CHONE Projections - and we're not slowing down any time soon!
With all the new features we have added and plan to add, we're looking for one or two writers who can churn out a baseball related article once or twice per week, so Reggie and I can focus more on additions and enhancements to Baseball Press.
What do writers get from Baseball Press? Sorry - nothing - nothing of any financial value anyway. We will, of course, give writers absolute credit for anything they write, but the truth is - we created this site because we love the game and we're looking for a couple writers with the same attitude. If this sounds like you - if you want to bat cleanup behind Reggie, Dan, and Thad - please email us at writers@baseballpress.com.
Thanks for your time and thanks for making Baseball Press what it is today!
