According to Jon Heyman of CBS, the Yankees have reportedly acquired right-handed starting pitcher Michael Pineda from the Seattle Mariners for catching prospect Jesus Montero.

The Chicago Cubs and San Diego Padres agreed to a four-player trade Friday afternoon, with the Cubs acquiring first baseman Anthony Rizzo and pitcher Zach Cates in exchange for pitcher Andrew Cashner and outfielder Kyung-Min Na.

The Miami Marlins and Chicago Cubs agreed to a swap of starting pitchers on Wednesday evening, as Miami adds Carlos Zambrano to their starting rotation, in exchange the Cubs receive Chris Volstad. Chicago will also be sending $15.5 million dollars to cover a majority of the remaining $18 million on Zambrano's contract.

The Boston Red Sox and Oakland Athletics completed a five player trade on Wednesday afternoon, as Oakland continues to unload major league talent for prospects. Andrew Bailey will head to the Red Sox along with outfielder Ryan Sweeney in exchange for outfielder Josh Reddick and prospects.

The Washington Nationals and Oakland Athletics completed a trade on Thursday evening, with the Nats solidifying the front end of the rotation by acquiring starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez.

After not re-signing first baseman and future Hall of Fame inductee Albert Pujols this off-season, it was imperative for the St. Louis Cardinals to bring in some offensive punch to make up for it, and they took a major step toward doing just that on Thursday by agreeing to terms on a two-year, $26 million deal with veteran free agent outfielder Carlos Beltran.

Looking to sign a right-handed bat for their lineup, the Colorado Rockies have agreed to sign outfielder Michael Cuddyer. According to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com, the Rockies have reached an agreement with Cuddyer on a three-year, $31.5 million deal.
